I was commissioned to create a video to be screened on the monitors in the rooms of terminal patients in a hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This was directly following the 2016 presidential election and I wanted to create a work that could serve as both a visual and aural meditation. Utilizing footage from a journey by train, as well as home videos made by my father, I constructed a loose visual narrative, complemented by the text of a love poem by Rumi.
